A written test will be arranged around 1-3 months after submitting your application. Driving King will inform you the location and time of written test when the application completes, as well as mailing the appointment letter to you.

There are 20 multiple choice questions to be answered with 20 minutes. You must answer at least 16 correctly to pass the test.

When you pass your written test, the Transport Department will provide you a letter which indicates road test time and location.

Reminder: If you have passed written test before, you do not need to take written test any more. A road test appointment letter will be provided to you directly.

Students need to take enough number of road practice lessons before attending the road test. The Transport Department suggests at least 30 hours driving lessons should be taken by a beginner.

Driving King will arrange a suitable English speaking instructor for you. Students do not need to make full payment at the beginning of the study. Instead, they can pay by lesson (at least two lessons per time).
